Looking back at the criticism and backlash encircling Star Wars, it’s hard to have a positive outlook for the franchise’s future: but we do.

Now I know that 'Star Wars' has been getting a bad rap lately, and I can completely understand why. The content they have been pushing out lately is not necessarily what the audience wants, and for lack of a better term: some it has just...well...sucked. The prequels receive hatred for lacking a good script, and questionable acting. The original trilogy is hailed as a masterpiece, although antiquated by todays standards in term of effects. And the sequels were unoriginal and bland, not to mention flat out disruptive to the 'Star Wars' universe. Even Mark Hamill (AKA Luke Skywalker) has his own opinions about how the sequel trilogy failed. He speaks about how the sequel trilogy failed in setting up a reunion between the three main characters here, and goes on to explain here how he felt betrayed and disappointed in the way that 'Star Wars' had continued throughout the sequels.

Either way, he had been slated by the direction that the franchise had gone. But, with more recent projects (despite some criticisms here and there) there has been more hope for the future of the franchise. Shows like 'Andor' and 'The Mandalorian' have shined new light onto the 'Star Wars' universe that has not been seen before. There may be hope yet for the future of this persistent galaxy far, far away.
Take care and, as always, safe travels!
